Job growth slowed in October
The economy added 84,000 jobs in October

PRINCE GEORGE- Stats Canada says the pace of job growth slowed in October as the economy added close to 84,000 jobs in the month compared with 378,000 in September.
The national unemployment rate was little changed at 8.9 percent compared with 9 percent in September. Overall, there were about 1.8 million people out of work in October.
BC’s unemployment rate dipped to 8 percent last month, from 8.4 in September.
There was a slight drop in the jobless rate in Prince George, to 9.5 percent in October from 9.9 percent the previous month.
