Police locate missing Prince George man

PRINCE GEORGE—Update: RCMP say Vareschi has been located in another community and is safe.

Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation.

Earlier: RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating a missing person who has not been seen in nearly a month.

Prince George RCMP say that on October 30th, they received a report of a missing person. 35-year-old Michael Thomas Vareschi, who recently moved to Prince George from Williams Lake, was last seen in Prince George on Oct.9.

RCMP say that extensive efforts to locate Vareschi have been negative.

Police say that he does not have access to a vehicle, but that he may have left Prince George. He has previously lived in the U.S., however, police don’t believe that he went back.
