PRINCE GEORGE – The callout to Ryan Reynolds has worked for a Prince George boy battling chronic disease!

11-year-old Brody Dery is in Vancouver getting chemotherapy treatments as he battles stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma while also battling Crohn’s disease.

A couple of weeks ago CKPG News caught up with 11-year-old Brody Dery as he shared his story and how COVID-19 has changed his way of life.

This past week has been especially tough for Brody as he gets chemotherapy treatments at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, now his mom Randi hoped his superhero Ryan Reynolds could lift his spirits.

Brody just finished his first round of chemo on January 9th, now awaiting the second round scheduled for January 14th.

Brody’s mom Randi is set to surprise Brody with the video Wednesday morning when he wakes up.

Local figures such as MLA Shirley Bond, and MP Todd Doherty among others shared the video which took off on social media which eventually led to Reynolds seeing it.
