Canadian 211 Day

PRINCE GEORGE – The 211 phone service is a national United Way initiative to deliver support with information that improves access to local health, social, and government services.

One of the official kick-off points for Canadian 211 day is near Mr. PG. The 211 call service expanded across the northern region last spring.

The United Way has been encouraging residents to avoid calling 911 if they need help finding any social assistance around them.

Since the 211 phone line has been activated across the nation, The United Way has a better understanding of how to better support communities.

At night Mr. PG will illuminate in a United Red Glow for the next few days reminding people of the 211 service.
