Early morning fire causes major damage to a shop on Purdue Road

Structure fire on Purdue Road – No injuries reported and an investigation is underway

Prince George – Just after 5 a.m. on Feb 15, 2021, PG Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 5656 Purdue Road.

When they arrived at the scene, emergency crews found a 12 meters by 18 meters detached shop fully involved.

Three halls responded with 17 members for the initial attack. The crews were able to contain the fire to the structure with no damage to nearby exposures.

There were no injuries at this incident to firefighters or civilians. The value of the fire at this point is undetermined due to the contents of the shop. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
