Parkwood Save-On-Foods relocating to Pine Centre Mall

PRINCE GEORGE — Pine Centre Mall has landed a major tenant.

Mall Marketing Director Jessica Brown says Save-On-Foods will be relocating from its Parkwood Place location to the mall.

“We’re really excited about it,” she told CKPG Today. “It’s been the number one requested tenant at the mall since Lowe’s left.”

Lowe’s closed its doors in February 2020 and has sat vacant ever since.

Brown says the space will need to be redeveloped starting the middle of this year and says the store will open sometime in 2022.

She says the store will be 38,000 square feet with the rest of the space redeveloped for new parking spots.

Brown says the opening of the store coincides with new housing developments on Recplace Drive and will be a good fit for the area.

In addition to the new Save-On-Foods store, she says some “exciting new mall tenants” will also be coming to the Winners wing of the mall. She wouldn’t say which stores those are or when they will be announced.
