Woodhouse Cottages and Ranch soon opening their Bubble House

Mar 18, 2021 | 2:53 PM

PRINCE GEORGE — The Woodhouse Cottages and Ranch Bubble House is set to open this May. The Bubble House is a four-room bubble cottage set in the woods with all necessities included. It’s located just 20 minutes west of Prince George, on the Lower Mud River.

The cottage allows individuals to go away from the stresses of Covid, through the opportunity to relax on a 300-acre ranch.

But the Bubble House will only be successful if local Prince George citizens engage in stay-cations.

This comes as the Tourism and Hospitality sector was affected the most with the pandemic, as national and international guests cancelled their visitation plans. But the company says stay-cations have helped them keep afloat.

Regional and provincial visitations are encouraged once travel restrictions are lifted.

But due to the circumstances, the Northern Development Initiative Trust did give Woodhouse Cottages and Ranch a Covid-19 business support grant.

The grant was used to develop a marketing strategy. Specifically, a brand video and photo assets that showcase many different types of memories, that take place on the ranch. The video can be found on woodhouseranch.ca .

The marketing was done in an effort to position Northern BC for growth and helping rebuild the tourism economy.

Bookings are filling up fast so individuals are encouraged to book their stay on their website before it’s too late.
