Mausoleum expansion complete

PRINCE GEORGE – Residents who have been waiting to find a proper place for their loved ones’ cremated remains can now place them to rest.

Early this week, the Mausoleum expansion project at Memorial Park Cemetery opened.

The addition’s budget was set at $1.4 million, but came in just under that at $1.3 million.

The original facility’s 500 glass niches have been at capacity since 2014. The mausoleum is at the Memorial Park Cemetery, located on 50 hectares of land near Highway 16 and Ferry Avenue.

Glass niche sales officially started on Monday, March 15. Residents interested in purchasing a glass niche can contact the Cemetery Administration.
