Mar 26, 2021 | 4:44 PM

PRINCE GEORGE – Northern Health (NH) continues to adjust COVID-19 vaccine appointment eligibilities and clinic dates, as BC’s COVID-19 Immunization Plan moves forward ahead of schedule. The age-based vaccine rollout using the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines is accelerating across the province.

As of noon today, Northern residents born in 1947 or earlier (74+), and Indigenous peoples 55+ can call to book their vaccine appointment. Once you’re eligible, you are always eligible.

NH has been vaccinating, or booking vaccinations, for people over the age of 18 in the following communities (regions): Prince Rupert, Haida Gwaii, Stewart, Dease Lake, Granisle, Hazelton and Houston. NH is now planning whole community 18+ clinics for the following communities (Do NOT call into book until the call-in date – the number to call will be made available at that time):

*March 27 – Chetwynd (Royal Canadian Legion)

– Fort St. James (Fort St. James Community Centre)

*March 29 – Burns Lake (Burns Lake Curling Club)

– Southside (Southside Health and Wellness Centre)

*April 1 – Tumbler Ridge (Tumber Ridge Community Rec Centre)

*April 2 – Fraser Lake (TBD)

*April 4 – Mackenzie (TBD)

*April 5 – McBride (TBD)

– Valemount (TBD)
