PG Pulpmill Rd update: One person found deceased

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: Prince George RCMP say one person was found deceased at a property on the 1100 block of PG Pulpmill Road this morning.

Police say at approximately 4:45 a.m. this morning, emergency services attended the home for a report of a disturbance of an unknown nature.

“When frontline officers arrived on the scene, they found one person deceased. This investigation is in the early stages and the Prince George RCMP have deployed significant resources to it, including the Serious Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services,” says Cst. Jennifer Cooper.

“Police believe this to be an isolated event and there is no risk to the public. Witnesses and members of the residence where the event occurred are cooperating with the investigation. Investigators would like to speak with anyone else who witnessed the event or may have further information.”

Earlier: A heavy police presence outside a home on PG Pulpmill Road today (April 10).

Prince George RCMP will only confirm that a “serious investigation is underway,” and that they may release more information later today.
