RCMP seek dash cam footage in relation to weekend homicide

PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties are seeking the public’s help in their investigation of the homicide last weekend on PG Pulpmill Road.

The Prince George RCMP is requesting that anyone with dash cam footage that was driving along PG Pulpmill Road between 12:00 a.m. and 5 a.m. on April 10 contact the Serious Crime Unit by calling 250-561-3300.

Officers arrived on scene that morning just before 5 a.m. for a report of a disturbance of an unknown nature.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found one person dead. Police believe this to be an isolated event and there is no risk to the public. The deceased’s name has not been released and no charges have been laid.

It’s the third homicide in Prince George this year, the first occurred on January 1 on the 2800 block of 15th Avenue when they discovered the lifeless body of a 50-year-old man.

The second homicide occurred on Jan. 28. On that day, police responded to a call of a man in medical distress on the 8200 block of Domano at around 8 a.m. who later died in hospital.
