66 new cases of COVID-19 in the Northern Health region

VICTORIA — Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced 1,205 new cases of COVID-19 in British Columbia today.

That brings the number of test-positive cases of the virus since the pandemic began to 116,075. She said 104,331 people have recovered.

Here’s the regional breakdown:

  • Vancouver Coastal Health: 301
  • Fraser Health: 730
  • Island Health: 38
  • Interior Health: 69
  • Northern Health: 66

Henry said there are now 10,052 active cases of COVID-19 in B.C. with 409 people in hospital, 125 of whom are in critical or intensive care.

Sadly there have been three new deaths bringing B.C.’s death toll to 1,524.

To date, 1,235,863 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in B.C.
