PRINCE GEORGE – There are many types of hand sanitizer products on the market. All of them claim to kill and disinfect germs.

Understanding what’s in the fine print, though, will define the right product for you.

According to health professionals, one of the best ways to prevent the spread of infection is by washing your hands with soap and water. If soap and water aren’t available, a hand sanitizer is the way to go.

The use of too much alcohol-based hand sanitizer can dry out the surface of your skin.

All hand sanitizer has an expiration date, and for it to be most effective, it should be used by then.
