PRINCE GEORGE – There is a good chance that next week we will see restrictions eased. But that also ends the Circuit Breaker Business Relief Grant. CKPG spoke with the city on what they plan to do, to continue to help local businesses here in Prince George.

With over 50 per cent of British Columbians 18 and over-vaccinated, we are close to our restriction end date. With that, however, comes the end to the circuit breaker business fund, the Prince George Chamber of Commerce hopes the BC Government will continue to help as we hit recovery mode.

Mayor Lynn Hall says, he doesn’t know what the B.C. government’s plan will look like but hopes there is continued support from both the provincial and federal governments.

With many things still up in the air, the city has decided it wants business to continue with the plethora of patios that have popped up after the current restrictions were put into place a few weeks ago.

At this point, it is unknown what continued financial help will look like from the province, however, both the city and the chamber are doing what they can, to continue to support local.
