Huble homestead historic site opens for the season
PRINCE GEORGE–The Huble Homestead Historic Site had its opening day for the season on saturday and it’s already seeing families flock in to enjoy what it has to offer. Workers spent a lot time and effort to make this year’s opening run smoothly.
“We’re always excited to be open. We’re obviously a seasonal attraction so we’re open from victoria day to thanksgiving and so you know this is a culmination of building work and two weeks of really fast pace work so it’s always a bit of a relief to be open and we’re just excite to be welcoming visitors again for another summer.” said Crystal Leason, Executive Director of Huble Homestead
Leason says this year aside from public events, families can expect lots of activities offered at the site. Including renting out games, guided tours, treasure hunts, and special programming classes where visitors can learn to create things like butter or ice cream. She says that while this year there might not be as many visitors due to covid, she thinks people will be more open to exploring locally.
