CN vegetation management in Northern B.C. and Cariboo begins in late July

PRINCE GEORGE — Canadian National Railway (CN) unveiled when it will conduct its annual vegetation management program in 2021.

Certified applicators will be applying herbicides on and around the railway tracks, mainly the graveled area known as the ballast, but also on other areas where the right of way may be necessary for safety purposes.

The City of Prince George will see work done between Aug. 14 and 15, the City of Quesnel between Aug. 6 and 7, the City of Fort St. John between Aug. 9 and 11, and the City of Williams Lake between Aug. 4 and 7.

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George electoral areas will have work done for a greater length between July 28 and Aug. 16.
