RCMP investigating robbery at bottle depot

PRINCE GEORGE–Police say they’re looking for a man who allegedly robbed a bottle depot on June 2.

Mounties say on Wednesday, a man went to the Nechako Bottle Depot on 1st Avenue around 3:30 p.m. wearing an orange safety jacket and black pants. They say that the man entered the store, bear sprayed an employee and a customer before taking money and leaving.

Witnesses say they saw the man running through a wooded area towards 3rd Avenue. Police dogs and helicopters were called out for the search. RCMP believe that the man got away inside a black Chevrolet Sunfire that was parked in the area.

“He possibly left the area in a Chevrolet Sunfire that may have been spray painted black, so police are currently looking for any information on a vehicle that matches that description.” said Cst. Jennifer Cooper.
