Future facility plans being presented to Prince George Council throughout June
PRINCE GEORGE — Nearly a week after the four-step B.C.’s Restart plan was unveiled, the City of Prince George laid out its immediate plans for re-opening civic facilities.
The CN Centre re-hired Glen Mikkelsen, the former manager of entertainment, who will return to Prince George in July. The CN Centre re-opened for public walking and ice access.
An update on the Prince George Playhouse will be presented to council on June 14 regarding options for the facility, which has been closed since March 2020. The playhouse needs repairs to re-open.
The Prince George Conference and Civic Centre (PGCCC) will continue to serve as the site of Northern Health’s Prince George vaccination clinic. Currently, approximately 1,000 people are receiving vaccinations daily.
