RCMP arrest violent robbery suspect

PRINCE GEORGE — A 28-year-old woman is facing several charges following a string of violent robberies last week.

Prince George RCMP say shortly before 4:40 p.m. on June 2, they received multiple calls about a woman in the area of 20th Avenue and Victoria Street who was waving a handgun in the air and pointing it at passing vehicles. Several victims alleged she physically assaulted them while they were in their cars.

Less than 10 minutes later, police arrested the suspect at Redwood Avenue near Victoria Street.

Maureen Isaac-Johnson is facing the following charges:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of a weapon or an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Use of an imitation firearm while committing a robbery
  • Carry, use or threaten to use a weapon or imitation weapon
  • Assault
  • Pointing a firearm without lawful excuse
  • Assaulting a peace officer

RCMP say they are familiar with the suspect and say she was held for court
