Women’s non-competitive mountain bike group flourishes

PRINCE GEORGE – For some, the sport of mountain biking can be intimidating. However, Gals N Gears is a recently established group of mountain bikers dedicated to smiling, laughing, and pedalling the local trail systems together.

Each week the group meets at one of the city’s popular mountain bike trails.

Either it’s for fitness or just to enjoy the outdoors. Many of the people who ride in the group enjoy the overall support of an all-female group.

The Gals N Gear group is for all skills and abilities. No rider is left behind. Depending on the weather, the group can get up to 30 riders. Although beginners are welcome, it’s expected that you have ridden your bike on trails before.

The PG Cycling Club website has the latest information on when the next Gals N Gears ride is scheduled.
