Construction workers at risk with high temperatures ahead
PRINCE GEORGE – Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the weekend due to record-breaking temperatures that can increase the potential for heat-related illnesses.
“Temperatures of the upper thirties and overnight lows with not much recovery in terms of cooling can create problems for human health. Those vulnerable populations like anyone working outside,” said Meteorologist from Environment Canada Bobby Sekhon.
Hot days may be nice if you are relaxing by a body of water but not if you are working long days outside. Construction workers are among a large number of people who spend their entire shift outdoors rain or shine.
