PRINCE GEORGE — It was hot Monday, but not hot enough to break the all-time weather record in Prince George.

Meteorologist Lisa Ervin with Environment and Climate Change Canada says we hit 38.4 degrees Monday, a record for June 28, but just shy of the all-time record of 38.9 degrees set on July 17, 1941. The previous record for June 28 was 30 degrees in 1938.

Ervin says we could still break that all-time record today with a forecasted high of 39. The current record for June 29 is 30.6 degrees this day in 1987.
