Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Prince George and surrounding areas.

The thunderstorms may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

Areas of concern include Williams Lake, Quesnel, Prince George, McGregor, Yellowhead area. McBride, Williston including Mackenzie.

Environment Canada says the thunderstorms could develop by late this afternoon and this evening.
