PRINCE GEORGE – A milestone today for a group of local seniors, kept at arm’s length due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

They met face to face for the first time in months. As many of them tell us, they say Zoom will never replace good old-fashioned face-to-face interaction.

Up to 30 seniors armed with a brown bag lunch and a lawn chair walked to their first public meeting since last October.

For Maurice Lapointe president of North Central Seniors Association says, the gathering in the park has been a long time coming.

here are plans in the works for more face-to-face senior gatherings, which can be found on the North Central Seniors Association website.
