PRINCE GEORGE — A recent traffic stop allowed local mounties to nab a prolific offender.

On the morning of July 10, police pulled over a vehicle near 17th Avenue and Victoria Street because it had no insurance.

Prince George RCMP say a quick investigation yielded a replica handgun and ammunition. The driver was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

The 42-year-old suspect out of Chilliwack, Leo George, is now facing a pair of charges and has been released pending his next court appearance.
