Prince George Public Library locking public washrooms

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Public Library announced that they are temporarily locking their public washrooms at the Bob Harkins Branch.

This decision comes after the library says that they have witnessed an increased amount of substance use and evidence of substance use in their washrooms.

The library says that anyone who asks to use the washroom will be allowed to, no questions asked. Security will unlock the washrooms as needed.

Anyone who has been suspended from library facilities because of prior Code of Conduct violations will not be granted access.

This new procedure will stay in place for the next three months after which the situation will be re-evaluated.
