PRINCE GEORGE—Saturday was a special day at the farmer’s market in downtown Prince George for kids, with fun events tailored just for them.

At the Wilson Square Farmers Market just outside of the courthouse, the organization hosted games for kids.

Kids were able to take some art lessons, fishing in a pond of toys, a toilet paper toss, and some ring tosses.

Kids were able to win stuffed animals, puzzles, games and coloring books.

The president of the market says that they’re always looking to do something special every weekend.

In the future, they plan on giving out backpacks full of school supplies and flowers to help make people smile.

“The first weekend in september, we’re giving away 30 backpacks full of school supplies. At the end of August–so that’s the 27th, we are doing a ‘make somebody smile day’. So we’ll be giving out bouquets of flowers,” said Maria Pennock, Wilson Sqaure Farmer’s Market.
