PRINCE GEORGE – The City has taken the next step in trying to deal with two homeless camps in the downtown.
On June 11th, the City served notice of trespass on the camp located on George Street across from the courthouse. Three days later, the same notices were served on the occupants of the camp at Lower Patricia Boulevard.
And today, the City has filed an application in the BC Supreme Court “seeking an order for the safe and orderly transition of the occupants at the encampments.” It is working with BC housing to find accommodations “that best meet their needs.”
A hearing is expected in BC Supreme Court on September 13th.
