City to review work zone policies
PRINCE GEORGE – The city is growing and the building stats prove it. It means plenty of construction zones for traffic to contend with. And it isn’t just the traffic of the four-wheeled variety.
It’s the reason the Advisory Accessibility Committee went before council with a special request to “review existing City policies, procedures, and permitting processes regarding accessibility of safe pedestrian access to the pedestrian network in work zones to ensure the City aligns with best practices in promoting pedestrian safety and accommodation in work zones.”
“Our first step was to ask City Staff to provide us with information about the policies were,” explains Chris Gobbi, Chair of the Accessibility Committee.
