PRINCE GEORGE — Charges have been approved following an RCMP drug trafficking investigation in the Millar Addition.

Prince George RCMP say 23-year-old Damiond Rain Craig Sutherland has been charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Loaded, Restricted Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited

On Aug.7 of last year, the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit began an investigation into drug trafficking on the 1600 block of Kenwood Street. Police executed a search warrant on the home and found a large quantity of illicit drugs and several fire arms.

“Police seized enough fentanyl to produce 760 doses and the amount of cocaine seized could make over 100 doses.Together, this would have generated over $35,000 in drug-related revenue. These quantities are concerning to police in Prince George, especially in light of the ongoing opioid crisis,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

Mr. Sutherland is known to police. This file is currently before the courts.
