Balcony fire on North Ospika Blvd

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue made quick work of an afternoon balcony fire.

It broke out just after 4 p.m. today (Sept.5) in the 200 block of North Ospika Boulevard.

Crews from four halls arrived to find a fire burning on a third floor balcony of the building.

“Crews performed a quick exterior attack extinguishing the fire. There were no occupants home at the time of the fire,” says Assistant Fire Chief Fred Wilkinson. “Damage to the balcony and exterior of the building is estimated at $25,000.”
