QUESNEL — The City of Quesnel postponed its “Let’s Connect Community Tour” on Saturday (Sept. 18) due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in the area.

The community gathering will be moved to a future date so the city can reconnect with residents in a way that is safe and responsible during an evolving period of the pandemic.

“Our residents’ feedback is an important part of city decision-making, planning, and project implementation, and we are looking forward to connecting with residents through this new online tool,” Quesnel Mayor Bob Simpson states.

The city also says it will launch a new engagement tool in the coming weeks to provide residents with updates on new initiatives, offer an opportunity to give immediate feedback, and have their questions answered regarding city projects that matter to them.
