PRINCE GEORGE – The riding of Cariboo-Prince George will remain Conservative blue.

With votes continuing to roll in, the results have weighed heavily in favour of Todd Doherty.

With 205 of the riding’s 233 polling stations reporting, Doherty has a lead of 50 per cent of the vote.

More to come as polls continue to report…

The riding was created back in 2003 from parts of Cariboo-Chilcotin and Prince George-Bulkey Valley ridings. Since then, the riding has been owned by the Conservatives.

Dick Harris won the seat in the 2004 Federal Election and held the seat up until the 2015 Federal Election. He held the seat of Prince George-Bulkley Valley from 1993 to 2003 prior to winning the seat of the reformed riding of Cariboo-Prince George.

Todd Doherty has held the seat since the 2015 Federal Election.
