Digital reverend sees membership grow

PRINCE GEORGE – It’s a move no church saw coming at the beginning of 2020. Places of worship thought their members would be attending services in person, but one local church is leading the way with online service and getting worldwide attention.

Early in the pandemic, Trinity United’s online service saw an average of 12 to 15 hundred devices locked into its services.

Before the pandemic, it already had online services in place for its local congregation, but once the pandemic hit, they learned that practicing religion online attracts followers worldwide, creating a larger community.
