Prince George man walks over 4000km in honour of Terry Fox
PRINCE GEORGE – Local difference-maker, Jim Terrion, has once again walked thousands of kilometres in honour of Terry Fox.
“On May 1, 2021, I began walking all the way until September 19. I walked 4100km in the course of four months. The reason for my walking was for the Terry Fox Foundation and it is coming up on the 41st year celebration of the Terry Fox Run,” added Jim.
Jim has dedicated his life to raising awareness for cancer research gaining Canadian recognition. Jim even had the opportunity to drop the puck for the Vancouver Canucks. He has also won many awards, most recently the B.C. Achievement Community Award and came close to being in the Guinness World Record book. And he doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon,
“I support the Terry Fox Foundation and I’ve helped out along with other people to fight cancer. I want to beat cancer, I don’t want another person to pass away from cancer,” said Jim.
