In response Northern Health stated:

“There are currently no declared clusters or outbreaks in Northern Health region schools (in other words, where there is concern that COVID-19 transmission has been occurring in the school setting). This doesn’t mean there aren’t potentially linked cases within households or the community, stemming from exposures in non-school settings, given high rates of COVID-19 activity in the region.”

In addition, Northern Health encourages anyone who is displaying symptoms or is concerned about being a close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19 to get tested.

More details about BC’s COVID-19 school reporting system are expected to be announced on Tuesday by BC Health Officials.
