Truth & Reconciliation Day
PRINCE GEORGE – The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation will be honoured this year, but, because of the surge in cases of COVID-19 in the North, many events that were scheduled were canceled.
However, there still will be some events taking place at the Lheidi T’enneh Memorial Park. This scaled-down version will have opening prayers at 11 a.m. with a walk to the Exploration Place Memorial to follow. There will also be a healing drum circle at 2:15 p.m. to honor the 215 children found at the former Kamloops Residential School.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join in. You are asked to wear a mask if possible and to follow social distancing protocols.
