More supportive homes for Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — There are 44 more supportive homes available to those that need them in Prince George.

This as the province, through BC Housing, has leased the Knights Inn. The former hotel will be operated by the PG Native Friendship Centre.

The friendship centre will provide residents with support services, including daily meals and health and wellness support services.

BC Housing funds approximately 150 nightly shelter spaces in Prince George.

  • BC Housing is also providing PGNFC with an annual operating subsidy of approximately $1.5 million.
  • In addition to the Knights Inn, 127 supportive homes are either under construction or in development in Prince George.
