PRINCE GEORGE—If you’re looking to test drive an electric vehicle, or have questions about EV vehicles, you can attend the upcoming Electric Vehicle Experience this weekend in Prince George.

The five-hour long event starts at 10:00AM at The Exploration Place this Saturday.

As gas prices rise and electric vehicles become more popular, The Prince George Electric Vehicle Association is looking to get more drivers on board.

The association will has a variety of 2020 and 2021 models for people to look at and test drive. EV owners can also bring their own car to show on display or to allow others to test drive.

“With 100 to 150 EVs in Prince George – including new 2020 and 2021 versions of previously released models, and new models such as the Tesla Model Y and the 2021 electric Ford Mustang (Mach E) – this will likely become the largest EV Event Prince George has ever seen.” Doug Beckett, Founder of the Prince George Electric Vehicle Association.

All test drivers must have a valid license and be at least 21 years old. EV vehicles including cars, trucks, motor bikes, ATVs and scooters are invited to be on display.
