Broken de-icer delays flights in and out Prince George again
PRINCE GEORGE — Update: YXS says the they have been advised that the de-icer is running and aircraft are now being successfully de-iced.
Earlier: For the second time in just over a week, it appears a broken de-icer is delaying flights in and out of Prince George Airport.
WestJet flight WS3285 was one of those flights. Passenger Kevin Gemmell says the Prince George-bound flight was scheduled to leave YVR in Vancouver at 1:05 p.m. this afternoon (Dec.27) and taxied around the runway before the pilot informed the crew that the de-icing equipment is broken in Prince George.
“Looking at the departures on the YXS website, this has obviously been an ongoing issue throughout the day as no planes have left,” Gemmell tells CKPG News.
