Williams Lake firefighters to collect donations for Christmas in July Food Drive Tuesday

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Williams Lake residents can expect firefighters at their door Tuesday (July 26) evening as they collect donations for their annual Christmas in July Food Drive.

From 6 to 9 p.m. Williams Lake Fire Department (WLFD) members will go door to door in select Williams Lake communities collecting non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army.

“Our department and volunteers are happy to help whenever needed and we’re asking the community to help bring assistance to those that rely on the food bank by donating non-perishable food items for us to deliver to the Salvation Army,” said Deputy Fire Chief Joan Flaspohler.

Those who would like to participate can leave donations at their front door on Tuesday, or drop off donations at the fire hall between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. if members didn’t stop by.
