PRINCE GEORGE –Authorities are investigating an earthquake in Prince George.

Earthquakes Canada confirmed a 3.4 magnitude earthquake hit BC’s Northern Capital at 3:07 Wednesday afternoon.

The location of the quake has been identified as approximately 34 kilometres southwest of the city.

It has been a long stretch without an earthquake in Prince George with no similar events in the past five years.
