PRINCE GEORGE — The City of Prince George has come clean after it was revealed a public notice regarding the sale of city owned property at 4500 Ospika Boulevard did not have a public notice issued prior to its sale.

The City blames the mistake, which broke a requirement under the Community Charter, on staff error.

In a statement, the City says it takes this matter very seriously, admitting failure to do so can erode public trust.

Upon discovering the administrative error, the City say it took immediate action by undergoing a restructuring and rebuilding of the city’s real estate division.
