Record heat in Prince George Saturday

PRINCE GEORGE — A weather record was broken in Prince George over the weekend.

Environment Canada says we hit 24.5 degrees on Saturday, breaking the 101-year-old record of 23.9 degrees set back in 1922.

The temperature is expected to dip today to a high of 20 before rising to 22 to 23 degrees Tuesday through Thursday, which is about seven to eight degrees above normal for this time of year.

Environment Canada expects temperatures to cool to a high of 18 or 19 degrees by this weekend.
