Local businesses team up to support B.C. firefighters

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George businesses have come together to create three products with some of the proceeds going to the Firefighters Charitable Societies in Prince George and Fort St John.

“Every (one) dollar from every bottle of Ember sold or every four pack of Cinders and Belgian Dark is going right to the charities,” explained Erica Beaugie, the marketing manager from the Northern Lights Estate Winery.

Both Prince George and Fort St John Firefighters Charitable Societies support individuals and families that have been affected by fires. They provide burn prevention education as well as funding for those needing to travel for medical treatment.

According to Beaugie, people can find these products at local liquor stores in Prince George and Fort St John, as well as surrounding areas.
