PRINCE GEORGE — With opening kickoff less than a week away for the Prince George Kodiaks, we feature some players to watch out for in the 2023 Season.

Jason Kragt is one of many players on the team who is close to home when playing football. Pressuring the quarterback from Hixon BC, Kragt still feels like he’s playing for his hometown knowing the Kodiaks are representing all of Northern BC.

An interesting fact about Jason, he played quarterback along with defensive end in high school for the PGSS Polars. So when he got to training camp in the Kodiaks’ inaugural season he was a bit surprised when the coaches asked him to play defensive end full time. However, he was excited to take on the challenge and grew throughout the season.

Kragt finished his rookie season with 38 total tackles and four sacks. The Canadian Junior Football League recently announced he was ranked a top 50 player for the upcoming season. Now the goal for #90 is to continue to improve and do what is needed to win
