UBCM kicks off next week

PRINCE GEORGE – Many a local politician will be heading south next week for the annual Union of BC Municipalities convention.

The city of Prince George has submitted a resolution, asking UBCM to lobby the Province for funding to cover the costs of having the local fire department to provide medical services, something that is the purview of the Province.

The Regional District of Fraser Fort George also has a resolution asking for a stand-alone mental health and addictions facility in the North.
