CNC Students grow increasingly concerned
PRINCE GEORGE – Work to rule. That’s the latest position taken by the Faculty Association at the College of New Caledonia. It means instructors at the college will conduct their contracted obligations and no more than that. The association issued 72-hour strike notice last week, which would have put them in a legal strike position on Sunday afternoon. But talks are still underway. It’s a very concerning position for students.
“It’s definitely worrying, not just for myself, but, of course, all the other students about a lot of we have a lot of students coming into the office wondering if, you know, classes are even going to run and how that’s going to affect them and everything, because it’s it is a worrying position, you know? Students, they do a lot to get here. And so and then for teaching for this to happen the potential to not even attend class,” says Riley Tarry with the CNC Students’ Union.
