Motor-vehicle incident closes Highway 97 North, at least one injured

PRINCE GEORGE—Prince George RCMP is on the scene of a two-vehicle collision near Barney Creek Road and Highway 97 North. The collision involved a five-ton truck and a pick-up truck. At least one person has been airlifted to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

“Those drivers needing to head north through the Salmon Valley area are advised to delay their departure as the highway is closed in both directions and will remain there for some time. The crash involved a five-ton-truck and a pick-up truck, with the total number of occupants currently unknown,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP

Police were advised of the incident at approximately 12:45 p.m. Updates may be made available as police continue their investigation.
