Tree of Lights kick off was a huge success
Dec 11, 2023 | 11:58 AM
PRINCE GEORGE— It has only been three days since the United Way Tree of Lights held their kick-off party and they have already raised $16,618 to help provide service for children and youth in the Prince George area. That is close to a third of their tree lit up as they look to raise $50,000.
The Tree of Lights is a a 35-year-long Prince George tradition where you can donate in order to light up a section of the christmas tree and once the goal is met the whole tree will light up.
This year the tree is inside the Coast Prince George Hotel by APA lobby and is open for visits where you can donate or get pictures.
You can also donate online by visiting uwbc.ca. The fundraiser goes until December 21, 2023.
